Joy is my neighbor and glass artist. She is a third generation Japanese-American who lives in Japan.
We went to TraveArt festival 2005 held in Germany , 2 years ago.
She knows the Japanese traditional manners so well!
She creates beautiful glass art from spout glass and the way of sand-blast.
One of my favorites are her flower vases.
Very delicate but powerful.
There, in her vases, is always a perfect place left for the flower...
So, Joy’s flower vases are very perfect as it is, but they shine 10 or 20 times more when she gives it the flower.
She also writes poetry, takes pictures, cooks well and is always fashionable.
She lives in a beautiful old japanese house in Kamakura.
Her whole life and style is about her without contradiction.
In TraveArt Festival, she will be participating in a three-person exhibition with a German photographer and solid artist.
